2. Course Enrollment & Access

2.1 Enrolling in Courses

When you enroll in a course (free or paid), you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the course content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This license does not grant you ownership of the content.

2.2 Lifetime Access

Once enrolled, you have lifetime access to the course content as long as your account remains active and the course remains available on the platform. We reserve the right to remove courses that violate our policies, though we will provide reasonable notice when possible.

2.3 Restrictions

You may not:

Download, copy, reproduce, or redistribute course content (videos, documents, code) without instructor permission
Share your enrolled course access with other users
Use course content for commercial purposes, resale, or to create competing products
Record, screen-capture, or otherwise duplicate live sessions or video lectures
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or download course materials

3. Payments, Credits & Refunds

3.1 Pricing

Course prices are set by instructors and displayed in USD. We reserve the right to offer promotional pricing, discounts, bundles, and subscription plans. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect existing enrollments.

3.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and other methods supported by Stripe in your region.

3.3 Refund Policy

30-Day Guarantee: You may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied with a paid course.
Conditions: Refunds may be denied if you have completed more than 50% of the course content or if we detect patterns of refund abuse.
Free Courses: Free courses are not eligible for refunds as no payment was made.
Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days and returned to the original payment method.

3.4 Instructor Payouts

Instructors receive revenue from their course sales as per the instructor agreement. Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. IQRA LMS retains a platform fee (percentage disclosed during instructor onboarding) from each sale to maintain and improve the platform.

4. Content & Behavior Rules

4.1 User-Generated Content

You may submit content to the platform including forum posts, discussion comments, course reviews, code submissions, and profile information. By submitting content, you grant IQRA LMS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the platform for the purpose of operating the Service.

4.2 Prohibited Content & Conduct

You agree not to:

Post, upload, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software through the code execution features
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, the platform infrastructure, or third-party systems
Use the platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or advertisements
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Engage in academic dishonesty including sharing exam answers, plagiarizing course content, or manipulating progress tracking
Abuse the AI tutor or code execution system by submitting requests designed to generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service
Harass, bully, or intimidate other users in forums, discussions, or messages
Submit fake reviews, artificially inflate ratings, or manipulate course rankings

4.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, remove, or disable access to any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable at our sole discretion. We may also report illegal content to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

5. Instructor Terms

5.1 Becoming an Instructor

To become an instructor, you must submit an application through the platform that includes your professional qualifications, expertise areas, teaching experience, and a proposed course topic. Applications are reviewed by platform administrators. Approval is at our sole discretion and may be revoked at any time.

5.2 Instructor Responsibilities

Content Quality: You must provide accurate, original, high-quality educational content. Courses must meet our quality standards before publication.
Content Ownership: You must own or have proper licenses for all content you upload, including text, images, videos, and code.
Student Support: You are expected to respond to student questions and provide reasonable support within your course forums.
Course Maintenance: You should keep your courses updated and relevant. Outdated or abandoned courses may be flagged or unpublished.
Admin Review: All new courses are submitted for admin review before publication. Admins may approve, reject (with feedback), or request changes.

5.3 License Grant to IQRA

By publishing a course, you grant IQRA LMS a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, distribute, display, and promote your course content on the platform. You retain full ownership of your content and may remove it at any time, subject to existing student enrollments.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform IP

The IQRA LMS platform, including its design, logo, branding, software code, user interface, features, and documentation, is the intellectual property of IQRA LMS and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

6.2 Course Content IP

Course content (videos, text, images, code, quizzes) remains the intellectual property of the respective instructor. Students receive a license to access the content for personal learning — not ownership.

6.3 DMCA & Copyright Claims

If you believe any content on the platform infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@iqralms.com with the following information: identification of the copyrighted work, the infringing material and its location, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief. We will investigate and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable copyright laws.

7. AI Features & Code Execution

7.1 AI Tutor & Quiz Generation

IQRA LMS uses Google's Gemini AI to power features including the AI tutor, quiz generation, exam grading, and content analysis. By using these features:

Your interactions with the AI tutor may be processed by Google's Gemini API
AI-generated content (quizzes, feedback, explanations) is provided "as is" and may contain errors
AI responses should not be considered professional, medical, legal, or financial advice
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
You should independently verify important information provided by the AI

7.2 Code Execution Environment

IQRA LMS provides an in-browser code execution environment supporting 11 languages (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C++, Java, PHP, Ruby, Go, R, Rust). When using this feature:

Code is executed in a sandboxed environment with resource limitations (time, memory, file access)
You must not submit code designed to compromise the platform, access unauthorized resources, or perform malicious actions
Submitted code is processed temporarily for execution and is not permanently stored
We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from code execution
The code execution environment is provided for educational purposes only — not for production workloads

7.3 STEM Virtual Labs

Virtual lab experiments (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics) are simulations designed for educational purposes. Results are approximations and should not be used for actual scientific research, medical decisions, or safety-critical applications.

8. Certificates

Eligibility: Certificates are issued upon completing 100% of course content and passing the final exam with a minimum score (set by the instructor, typically 70%).
Exam Process: Final exams are generated by AI (Gemini) based on course content and graded automatically with explanations. You may retake exams according to the instructor's retry policy.
Certificate Format: Certificates are issued as downloadable PDF documents containing your name, course title, completion date, a unique verification ID, and the instructor's name.
Verification: Each certificate has a unique ID that can be verified through our platform. Employers and institutions can verify certificate authenticity.
Disclaimer: IQRA LMS certificates represent completion of our courses and are not academic degrees, professional licenses, or accredited credentials. They do not confer academic credit unless explicitly stated through a partnership with an accredited institution.

9.2 Educational Content

Course content is created by independent instructors and represents their views and expertise. IQRA LMS does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of course content. Students should exercise their own judgment when applying knowledge gained from courses.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IQRA LMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@iqralms.com. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your written notice.

11.3 Arbitration

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of a recognized arbitration body. Both parties waive any right to a jury trial. Class action lawsuits and class arbitrations are not permitted under these Terms.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, or infrastructure failures.
